The Classic congregation aims to be a loving, caring, welcoming church family. Here you will find a large number of mature Christians many of whom have sought to follow the Lord Jesus for many decades (and some bright new younger folk too — both in age and faith). We have a deep commitment to God’s word and to prayer. We are Baptist by conviction and practise a more contemplative, theologically rich style of worship, listening for the still, small voice of God. We enjoy our time of fellowship over coffee after the service and the times of deeper, more intimate fellowship and support in our various small groups during the week. Our aim on a Sunday is to find refreshment, encouragement, correction, direction and hope in God’s word through His Spirit by His people in order to be equipped to share Him with others in our various mission fields (family, community, place of work or education, specific ministry etc.) during the rest of the week.

At Explore you will find a wonderful mix of cultures, races, languages and generations that have become family through our shared purpose of reaching the ever-changing community of Pinelands and surrounds with the good news of Jesus. We aspire to equip ourselves as the body of Jesus with all the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit relying on him to help us do the Father’s work of restoring and making all things new. Our heartfelt prayer for our community is that the people will experience the presence of God, the warmth of community and a deep sense that God has engaged with them personally.

This is a gathering of mostly young adults and youth, but all ages are welcome.

We have a more contemporary worship style, putting emphasis on fellowship, prayer, being spirit-led, reading, understanding and applying scripture to life, together. Info regarding when and where we meet is shared on the congregation WhatsApp group.
